After camping out in the Atlanta airport for a night and then a couple hours of flying and one layover our squad arrived in Tegucigalpa, all of us, with all our gear, praise Jesus.
Zion's Gate is the ministry we'll be partnered with for two and a half months that we're here. Tony, the founder, started the ministry to reach out to the people in the neighborhood and surrounding colonies. The ministry's purpose is to reach out to the people that the community has given up on, the people they say cannot change. There are six boys from the streets living on the property right now along with several girls. While our squad is here we will be spending a lot of time with them and also with the colony of Los Pinos. We may also teach some English classes, visit towns and villages, and bring church out into the streets. We're staying open and seeing where the Lord uses us but we are super excited for the next couple months.
I'll put up a few pictures later to give you an idea of the place we're staying and post a little longer post. But the internet here is ridiculously slow so just wait in anticipation until I go into town. Thank you for your support and prayers! Love you all.
Can’t wait to hear how He uses you guys! I know your heart will be for the people Nikki. Let us know how we can pray for them. I am so thankful that you started you relationship with Jesus when you did as a young girl, you are an awesome witness for Him! Love you bunches, dad
